Hi, I’m Charlie, the owner and creative force behind Wild Root. It all began with a simple idea: that plant-based food should not only taste incredible but also be good for you. Because when people eat better, they feel better too…

I went vegan back in 2014, and let me tell you, it opened up a whole new world in the kitchen. I fell head over heels for cooking. Who knew whipping up plant-based magic could be so much fun? But then I hit a roadblock. I tried every vegan cheese on the shelves, and honestly? They were a letdown. So I gave it a go, and the results spoke for themselves.

Once I got a taste for delicious homemade products, I couldn’t stop. What began as a few homemade recipes has grown into Wild Root, a small, independent brand that puts love and honesty into everything we make. No shortcuts, no unnecessary extras, just good, wholesome food made from real ingredients.

I knew I had to share the delicious recipes I mastered and show that plant-powered food can be delicious, so I developed the Wild Root Cafe and Wild Root Catering service in the heart of rural Halsall. This is where our delicious Wild Root products were developed and tested by our lovely customers and where they continue to be enjoyed to this day. With a new cafe branch in the works, we’re to provide tasty recipes, created with plants at the centre of each plate.
